Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, remote sessions may be conducted with your consent. There are some limits to this practice, and it is important to know their scope and take measures to guard against them. As such, before beginning remote sessions, an agreement will be reached as to the process to follow.

Psychoeducation

Psychoeducation is a human sciences discipline that assists people who present adjustment difficulties that affect behaviour.

Psychoeducation focuses on interventions in the individual's environment (home, school, daycare, hospital, etc.) to observe, assess and understand the individual's difficulties and help him or her cope. Activities adapted to individual needs are proposed and put into practice as part of an intervention plan or program. Lastly, the efficiency of interventions is assessed.

Psychoeducation may be of help in a wide variety of situations. You may wish to consult for yourself, your child, your family, or a loved one. Psychoeducation is for people of all ages, including those with mental health issues. It assists people experiencing adjustment problems such as:

After completing an initial bachelor's degree at the Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue, I earned a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in psychoeducation from the Université de Montréal.
